bettter be a dissertiation for anthropology at uni that goes back to the 60s and west indian bringing the idea of sound systems, then progress to the 80s with electro, birth of jungle-house etc then garage from those bits, then dubstep grime.

points to include, mc culture in grime but not in dubstep so much, speaker worship, ragga influence, 2 page dedication to lee scratch perry in the form of printing on flat pressed ganja.

conclusion.

You can go as deep into this as you want! I mean I wasn't into it during the birth of Dubstep but I have read a few interviews, listened to some radioshows and that from way back when and its a real culture thing almost like a political party...

It started off as a few people tryna get the same goal, getting some supporters of their work and its just slowly evolved and now its a established and respected/recognized music genre but has stayed underground cause thats where the heart and soul is..

Well thats my take on how its came anyways..

In the way of grime, I don't have a scooby-doo (clue)

Continuum is just a way for people to put things they like into some sort of metanarrative though isn't it really?
