"Be There 4 U" and "Forgive Myself" are two of my favorite d&b tunes of all time. Looking forward to hearing D-Kay's take on this genre...

i reckon the reason is coz DNB is dull as mud now - you can't even tell one tune from another - it's just like Hardcore with a slightly more interesting beat as far as i can tell. OneNation = HardcoreHeaven

but all the producers are really talented and have awesome skills productionwise so dubstep and breaks are the natural way out [ed solo makes breaks now with Deekline for example]

or maybe i'm just horribly wrong

Tunes are baaaaaad dkay! D n B is stale, theres no creative freedom left in the genre. All about the step

dnb isn't stale, there's plenty of creative freedom left in the genre, unless people feel limited by the scene around them that is.

i still play babylon, manipulate the universe, tuning etc. on radio regularly and the phone line doesn't seem to think they're stale!

do love it when top dnb producers branch out though :D

personally i reckon scenes dont limit creative freedom, if someone in leicester wanted to do something different with 170bpm no one would stop them.

just like the dubstep 'scene' hasn't been around forever, some people started making fresh sounds and the scene grew around it.

i think calibre sounded fresh when his dnb started getting big because he wasn't so engrossed in the scene, he liked listening to lots of non dnb music so that allowed him to give a fresh slant on it.
