Being a DJ or Producer, what do YOU find to be the difference between YOURSELF and the average PUNTER?
Keep it clean children

Sometimes listening to a tune just for fun is hard.
And you just can't chat to any guy about the production techniques, which makes it a bit boring.
lol

Knowing hundreds of labels and thousands of artists, where they're based and where they possibly moved out... Stuff like that.

for me...
it's the ability to hear a cool sound and to know and understand how its made.
that took me years to figure out
it gives you the ability to choose what kinda tune you want to make and the direction you wanna take the tune
seperates the men from the boys IMHO

Having a superior taste in dubstep (taste in music is not subjective) and a larger collection of tunes. All my mates think to have a good dubstep tune you have to have loads of wobble...

Even that 2D tune by Skream! had it's nose turned up at it by them
And all the other stuff like knowing how the effects and sounds are created.

I hate knowing that, ruins the magic for me. It's one of the things I loved about electronic music when I first got into it, I had no Idea how it was made, and as an instrumentalist, that was very appealing. Was mysterious and magiv heh.
What seperates the boys from the men, from the other perspective, is hearing a producers works and not being able to work out how that made that sound, dispite being a producer

Experimenting with some alternative methods of processing and some pretty in depth synthesis to create both an original listening and physical experience.
I came from a Neurofunk background and still want to keep the trancy atmospheric sound fresh.
