I had a similar problem with my copy of 'Brood'. I checked other copies in the shop, but they all had a crackling during the first minute or so.

Picked up my copy of Brood from Rooted... Not had a issue with any other Hotflush tunes, and I've got pretty much the lot.

Got mine from Boomkat, but checked the lot from Blackmarket and found the same. Shame really, it pretty much ruins the first drop coz all you hear is static on the slient bit. :?

there's sometimes noise on the first 10 or so on a run due to condensation on the metalwork, one of the reasons i've started to think twice before buying tps if I'm not playing out in the near future

Mine (brood/honour kill) are fine aswell. Don't know from where my local Swiss Shop is importing them.
