Last year was stupidly large, this year looks even better.
Thought they had Buju Banton and Collie Buddz on the bill at one point....
Defo one of the best festivals in Europe, esp for the ticket price. Shame I wont be able to make it this year....

can you tell us more about it? Is it nice weather for time of year? Well organised? Easy/cheap to get to?

Aside from the first day the weather was nice last year.. when the weather is nice you can chill at the lake in the afternoon!
It's fairly easy to go there.. you have to take a train from brussels (it says on the homepage whiche one). than there's shuttle buses from the train station to the festival..
the festival is rather cheap.. it's 100€ for 4 days, which includes 4 days of camping and the shuttle to and from the station... considering the line-up I would even say it's very cheap.
food is quite alright, belgian fast food and all kinds of international stuff..
there's also supermarkets, but they are on the outside and you'll have to walk approx. 30 mins, since the festival area is huge ..
I advise you to stock up on drinks in the supermarket beforehand.. beer is served in 0,3 and it's rather expensive and watered down..
Apart from that it's lush.. there's 4 or 5 different stages/tents and you'll basically get any style of music you want.
check the forum for the dour thread from last year .. I think there#s even pictures in there. you can also check my mspace pics.. I made load of pics

Weather was spectacular last year, although it was in the middle of a heatwave apparently. Felt like I was a million miles away from England when actually getting to the festival site took about 3 1/2 hours from Waterloo. Make sure you check out the lake next to the festival site, it is overly crowded but it's still beautiful and an ideal way to kill time when theres nothing inparticular you wanna catch (it doesn't happen much tbh).
It's fairly cheap to get there via Eurostar to Lyon and then a couple of connecting trains to St.Ghislain.
Organisation at the start of the festival nearly ruining the whole experience for me, I've never seen so much chaos getting into a festival and was fuming on the wednesday night. Thankfully the rest of the festival more than made up for it though and apparently they're sorted out the absurd system this year.
I'm really tempted to go this year but the line-up was better last year (for me at least, there were at least 5 acts on each day that I couldn't miss, this year it doesn't really seem that way this year) but there is some very good stuff this year.
Tbh the main reason for me feeling like i'm not going to go this year is because I don't want to ruin the experience of last year, so I guess that says it all.
