I'm gonna get myself a new set of speakers for my PC, and looking to spend a fair chunk of cash on getting something quality (maybe as much as £200-300). Ideally I'd like a pair that sound wicked but are also decent pseudo-monitor-like for my production (can't afford to get a set of seperate monitors right now)... does such a thing exist?

Also need to get a new soundcard while I'm at it. I've heard good things about Auzentech cards but a safer bet might just be to go with a creative one... c/d?

cheers guys

I've bought these and I'm very very happy with them.

Yeah, KRK Rockits are defo a nice set. You can get them with that budget, you won't regret it.

Agreeing with the above.
In that price range, the 2 monitors which seem to stand out are the RP5/6 & the Samson Rubicon 5/6A.
According to Decklyn, the Samsons have better mids/highs due to the ribbon tweeter but they stop at 55 hz while the the KRKs go down to 45 hz so if you can't afford a sub, I suggest you get the KRKs.

Or you could go with Yamaha HS50M's. Same budget, they go down to 50hz.
