my friend wants to start a grimedubstep night in los angeles. there really hasnt been one yet.

is anyone out there from los angeles?

if so, do you DJ or produce?

also, do you think we could generate enough interest in the sound to get a decent size crowd?

i'm not sure if most people know about the sound yet.

we have plenty of venues and sposers available, we just need the scene.

Myself and Logan Sama are going to be touching down in the states to do a tour sometime in October - we'll be bringing some mc's with us too.

If you're interested in hosting us at some point that would be wicked

I have been dying to hear dubstep played on a massive system. I am stuck in Orange County at the moment. I would definitely make the trip for a dubstep night.

I left the Bay Area to come here, and I've noticed that there have been events there. I would definitely support anything developing in Southern California.

I'm producing and Djing dubstep - also i come down to L.A. quite often... So when you do get something going on let us know!!! Won't be long i'm sure.... i have heard of a couple events in the works down there but haven't got dates yet!!!

if you're in LA, every wednesday night one of the biggest and heaviest reggae weeklies on the westcoast. check out dub club @ club echo.
so serious...the dj's all rock original 45 business all night. vibes are heavy and system is big. i had a great time. nice mixed crowd, young and old, with ital snacks served inside the venue. it''s right in the center of echo park so you can check the mexican vibes too.

i'm in LA (los feliz) and just came aross this site and the DS sounds.

maybe you could hook up w/ the cats that run SPEED @ king king in hollywood and start up a monthly (like they do for breaks)

Glad you got out. My wife is getting her PhD at UCI, so I am here temporarily.

Very quiet. Very suburban.

Regarding calls for dj's, I have been collecting dubstep vinyl lately, but I am not a skilled mixer. I'm just in love with the music. I am comfortable with decks and mixer, but I don't own a set, so I don't practice. I'd play a warmup slot...

I am living in the Orange tnuc as well. Santa Ana to be more specific. I don't blame you for not really diggin' your current surroundings. I rather be in Northern Cali if I had to still live in this state. I just started getting into dubstep. I am pretty much still n00b status.

But, hopefully once I utilize my researching/organizing skills then I might be able to almost or halfway up to speed with a lot of you. One can hope...
