On July 26th, Ballers Social Club present the professional crowd slayer ediT.
ediT's muscial career started out under the moniker 'The Con Artist', djing as a resident at the long admired - but now defunct - Konkrete Jungle club. The club marked a Golden Era in L.A Hip-Hop, with true B-Boys and Girls coming out in force to watch the Freestyle Fellowship and affiliates reinstate their purist beliefs. He also held down a weekly Radio Show on the remarkable Dublab internet radio station, where he garnered production credits for Anticon, Aloe Blacc and Busdriver.
In 2003, he dropped his debut album 'Crying Over Pros For No Reason' which was picked up and re-released a year later by Planet Mu. ediT's style started to notably change towards the dancefloor after his neckbreaking Daedalus remix of 'Dumbfound' hit the web, heralding a series of cut-up,"hyper-glitch" workings of top 40 jams best shown on his Hefty Records commisioned mixtape 'Flossed Out'.
Then came ediT's shining moment - the release of his sophomore album 'Certified Air Raid Material' on seminal imprint Alpha Pup. This tour de force of upbeat, energetic and futuristic electronic music blew away all critics and threw him into the global music's limelight. The album contains his most critically acclaimed single 'Battling Go-Go Yubari in Downtown L.A.', where his cataclysmic and pounding bass sound is most prominent.
You can catch ediT at the weekend tearing up the dancefloor with his infamous crew 'The Glitch Mob' who's long awaited debut album drops this summer!
The live support comes in the form of Fox Gut Daata. Daata's music is forward thinking and takes in Techno, Electronica and Hip-Hop. Being a longtime friend of Rustie, these two are looking forward to the home ground hook-up.
In DJ support is the super-human Rustie, who will be playing suitably clubbed out shit for this uptempo event.
This party is held in the Ivy's basement on North St.(Charing Cross)
Door charge comes in at £5.
