FL8 problems..Why did I bother to switch..

So I finally got everything working on FL8, all my VSTs, got all my samples swapped from FL7 packs > FL8 packs..
Now I get this shit..
I don't want none of this fancy edison shit, i want to jam out and record a bassline to see if it works with the track.
AND it made me use shit Asio drivers what're complete shit.. My soundcard handles 5ms recording without any crackles while Asio crackles like hell.
This is proper stressing me out, anyone know how to set it up so its like FL7, you hit records, it records to the piano roll and you can touch it up..?
EDIT: I can get it in the piano roll but it stops recording after a bar...

RTFM lol!
Maybe the reason it stops recording after 4 beats is because its set to the standard pattern length? Try selecting 16 or 32 bar chunk in the playlist then recording it in.

yup, this is why, if you select song mode it will record until you stop, if youre recording midi then automation and score is the way to go.

It's Fruity Loops.
Solution?
Reason, Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, Peak?

Reasons sequencer is shite.
I don't like the way Ableton is layed out, same with cubase.
and Logic is ancient on Windows.
Contribute something useful or don't post tbh...
And this is a ancient thread..

Suggesting other software is useful, considering the problem is... software...
