DFRNT - Colin's World (320 as standard!)

Post by DFRNT » Sun Jul 13, 2008 3:35 pm

There's a little story behind this track.

basically I have a neighbour called 'Colin' - and he's very strange. He's been in to drugs quite heavily, he's lost his job, been the prime suspect in a murder investigation, and numerous times myself and my flatmate have run in to him in the stairwell covered in cuts and bruises, and generally quite fucked up.

He displays some very strange behavior, and he's had visits from social workers, the police and all sorts.

So I wondered what his life must be like - and decided to create this to sum up what he might be feeling etc.

It's deep, moody and quite spacial. THere's no stupidly big bassline drop or anythning - it's all about the slow burner, the suspense and the general athmosphere.

If you're still reading - you can get it here...

And while you're at it - the final 2 tracks for the debut EP have been completed - if you want to sample them. (I'll do another post for those bad-boys though)

Feedback more than welcome! :)

Well done. If you can create a mythology, you have scored. Big things.

Wondeful atmosphere you've crafted in this track, this will mesh very nicely in to my set with a lot of the deep tunes coming out of Vancouver.

Thanks for sharing :)

Nice Tune mate, really deep layers and lots of texture. Kind of reminds me a bit of Autechre actually...
