Mixing Over-seas

Post by alias » Mon Jul 21, 2008 2:14 pm

Alright people just got back from Zante yesterday, had a fucking mad week with the boys and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking to go on holiday this summer.

I've decided though I want to try and DJ out there for next years summer, but i don't know any DJ's there or anyone for that matter. What's the best way of getting a set in a club?

*edit* BTW been mixing House, UK Garage, DNB, RNB and Electro for over 7 years - so I'm no noob.

i played Ibiza last year, basically, me and some mates got in touch with a Bar on the beach in San Antonio and offered to put on an all day party over there.

if you dont fancy doing that, get the contact details of lots (LOTS) of promoters and send them some mixes. Or, go out there with a bag of records and just spend a day asking around bars if they're interested. Thats how some of my lot did it this year.

If you're going to do it that way though, you'd want to go out there for more than a week, more like a month+, get a job promoting/bar staff etc and then just keep handing out CD's to bars all the time.

Good Luck, it's a right laugh
