No EQing and the first bit of the drop needs changing, doesnt fit, and is over compressed. Any advice about structure, other things I could include? I didnt put it in the dubs section cos it's not finished yet.
Sorry if it's a bit quiet too.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Actually this is a version without the drop, there will be a drop and a section section. To be honest at the minute my section section is pretty much the same as the first but with another pad over the top.
I got a bit stuck for inspiration, any help?

Sounds good
I'd hold back on the reverb on the bass though..... Makes it slightly muddy.
I'd also make the reverb larger but slightly less prominent. Try turning down the dry/wet control a bit.
Apart from that, it's pretty mellow
Good stuff

Got any ideas what I could do for a drop/second half? I dont want it to be too repetitive...

Cheers for the advice man, I'll have a play later on if I get chance. This is my third dub really, just didnt like the others at all, too wobbley and generic, but I quite like this one although I'm not sure how dubsteppy it sounds, maybe after all the EQing has made some space it wont sound so ambient.
Yeah think you are right, the verb does need pulling back a bit, it's a bit cloudy. Dont think there is any on the kick (could be wrong) but it is defo getting covered in a wash of verb on other things.

Create an intro/breakdown/outro based on muting certain elements of the mix.
Drop some phat basslines as a contrast to the mellowness. (Mute all the mellow bits for the bassline sections)
Make it up yourself, or move on to new proects if you've run out of ideas!

Nice! Great chord progression.
If it were me I'd go for a bright, simple melody that cuts through over the top and adds extra harmonics if you fancy keeping the electronica/BoardsOfCanada vibe, or break the tune up into distinct sections by treating the bass in another way and dropping that in for different sections where you can use the bass as a melody for 16 bars or whatever. Them's just my £0.02. Good tune, I'd say it doesn't really need much more
Maybe a proper ending tho'

Well this is only up until the drop, I need to build a second section and an outro into it.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm still not quite sure if it's dubstep though.
