Is it just me or?

Has there been a change in mood on the forum of late? Not quite as friendly as usual. And some people are making dick head remarks. The last few days has seen an obvious increace of simmering beef. Maybe it's the heat?

These forums still have more of a PLUR ideology than others (picked up that comment on dissensus
)
but it's not sacrosanct, and will go away if people get a lickle bit bitter about things.
I haven't noticed any dickhead remarks though, only critical discussion -
what were u thinking about in particular

I wish there was more objective criticism on this forum. Its all matey backslapping from what I can see. Lets face it, there is plenty to criticize.

I think recently the forums gotten even friendlier. Thank you Dubstep for bringing such a nice crowd of ppl

yeah it was worse a couple of months ago. geoff has a point about lack of critique though.

it defenatly brings a good crowd but i think most of ppl's views are welcomed as constructive critisism

Think the heat gets me riled, so I think I've posted a few comments but more piss-takey than guns at dawn shit. Think it's mostly been on Production as far as I can see, but I think that'll simmer down if we can figure out how to encourage the new starters to use the search engine once in a while.
Mostly folks are pretty good up here, but the overwhelming matey back-slapping does remind me of the emperors' new clothes - not particularly sure why folks are quite as into things they are sometimes - seem to be big props for tunes that aren't all that, but I guess that's a matter of taste I suppose.
