My complaints have been aired.
Nobody deserves special treatment here. Not Seckle, Not Mala, Not me...Not you, not anyone.
Nobody IS this forum, this forum is everybody.
If the mods can't or won't moderate, then please allow me to do so. I assure you, if I am awake and online, there won't be a single post in the wrong forum for more than a few minutes.
You'll be hard pressed to find a post in the wrong forum that doesn't have a response by me, telling them it's in the wrong forum. In the time I made the post responding, it could have been moved and over with. These mods are complaining that they can't catch them all. I understand you can't catch them all. If you took the time to actually REPLY TO THE THREAD, then you not only didn't catch it, at that point you have ignored your duty.
Again... being a moderator of the SOLE major forum for this type of music is like a guardian or a trustee. If you can't be trusted to do that job, you don't deserve to be trusted. It's nothing personal against anyone posting in the wrong forum. It happens.
I do think it is telling, however, when I get 3 PM's from Mods asking me to tone it down, instead of just moving the thread in question and deleting or locking my post about it. How hard is that?
Again... when they could have been Moderating, they were busy PMing me. I don't frankly care what the excuses are for not doing it. It's in the wrong place, it should be moved. And technically, this very thread is in the wrong place.

yea but it doesnt really matter, ive broken forum rules loads but not because i meant to and nothing was done about it. Its different if someone is trying to push something and blatantly spamming up the forum to if someone is just like, Yo made a tune its up on the myspace.
I mean does it really bother you that much? And the only reason the bash forum is bothering people is cos they dont know what it is lol.
Its far better not to make a big deal out of it, ignore it (as most people do) and get on with things...

Jonny... to answer your question, it doesn't bother me as much when people accidentally post in the wrong forum. Or on purpose for that matter. It happens.
It bothers me that I point it out, no matter who does it, and it is selectively moderated. If it's a bigger name or a friend of the Mods, the thread stays... if not, it goes. That is bullshit. It shouldn't happen.
Again.. if I post a link to a Torrent of my boyfriends mix, I'll get banned. Seriously. Banned, for posting a torrent of something that isn't copyrighted... something that isn't protected by any laws. What is stopping me?
The rules of course. I follow them, because if I don't, I'll get banned. If other people don't follow them... well, it really depends who they are. That ain't fucking right. No way shape or form is that right. What a pretty picture it paints, eh?
ONE LAST TIME:
I don't care if a thread is in the wrong forum, so long as the same goes for everyone. If one person isn't allowed to do it, neither should the Mods, the badman producers, DJ's, etc... rules are rules.
example: Trill Bass recently posted about their new website launch, which contains tunes and mixes and information about Trill Bass. Their thread was MOVED. A thread about a website launch... not a thread about Mixes... not about tunes... about a fucking website launch!
Reason? The website contains tunes and mixes. Yep... who cared if the post was in the right forum, technically it has to do with mixes and tunes, so it had to go. Makes sense, right?
And Shy, I'm already spoken for. I'll try and get into SubFM chat, but I've been busy working lately. Big up.

ok i get what your saying now, i agree because i follow the rules also and it does annoy me when others just dont bother. But how do you know the mods arent pmin peeps to tell em whats what?
Calm down a bit though mate, at the end of the day youl probably end up being banned and that wouldnt be good cos debate is always entertaining

May I point out that the mods are under no obligation, further than that place on them by the owner of the forum, to enforce the rules. This forum is not the property of the dubstep community, if indeed such a thing exists, but rather is owned and operated by a private individual with the help of mods. The owner (and, by extention, the mods, who act as his proxy) created the rules and is not only able but perfectly entitled to enfore them at will, selectively if he so desires. The is no rule of law here so you have no call to complain.

Yea... sure you can go and break it down technically... Ivan owns this forum.
I don't think he'd be such a prick to say "this is my forum and I don't care what anyone thinks" because he'd be in an empty forum.
This forum didn't get as big as it did because that hasn't been his mentality. It shouldn't start to be that way now. Back in the day, it was very tightly run. Now it's not. It can be fixed.
END.

You seem to be putting alot of time and effort into making sure rules are followed on the forum. That's entirely up to you but you have to accept that not everyone is going to put as much importance on doing these things correctly as you do. And no amount of commentary is going to change that.

I've missed a lot of radio shows, due to the posts about them being buried until someone bumped it to link the archive(if we're lucky)
That shouldn't happen. It's not my job to moderate, but I'd like it to be. At least it would get done that way.
Again, there are some very cool mods here. They know who they are, and I imagine some of them think I'm talking about them. I'm not. The really cool mods are the type of people who would think that you WEREN'T talking about them when you said some of the mods are cool.
Go and look at the forum rules and guidelines... someone spent a shitload of time typing those up, formatting with BB code, editing,, modifying, testing, changing, etc...
perhaps we should show a bit of respect for that effort and follow the rules. And if you wrote those rules, follow them or don't expect anyone else to.

I don't mean to be rude but if you do want to be a moderator then publicly airing your grievances in the way that you have isn't exactly the best way to go about it. You talk about respect yet you're openly undermining their decisions on how the forum is run and what should and shouldn't be moved in a way that comes across as "you know best". The PM function is there for a reason. Not exactly the actions of a potentially "cool mod".

I'm not undermining the decisions, merely the lack of action on their part to clean the off topic stuff up. Keep in mind, I didn't even make this thread.
