i currently have a Korg MS2000b

i dont reallly wanna sell it, but id rather start DJing and eventually buy midi keyboard to produce on my macbook pro, altho i do love the hardware aspect.

heres my questions

1. Im in the USA so how hard is it to get tons of uk dubstep vinyl to spin? i havnt looked much into US shops, which i will do but figured i start here. but should i definitly go with vinyl, or is it easier to start up with some sort of computer setup or CD setup? i figure i will be buying tons of tracks online if i can cuz thats easier than waiting for records and paying more than 99 cents.

im looking at starting off DJing house parties (not house music), so portablility is an issue. id also like control of reverb and such if i can.

2. if i have around 450, 500, what should i look into for DJing?

3. where can i find a good deal on a subwoofer for like 200 250????

basically its all about making shit happen NOW for my money, which i figure i should DJ a bit (cuz its so damn fun) and then start producing (altho ive been practcing styles and synthesis for some 5 years.)

Can't comment on that setup, although it doesn't look as robust as a Pioneer CDJ/Mixer setup.

Why not buy some digital releases, download the demo for Ableton or Traktor and 'spin' off your MBP. Certainly would be a quick way of getting up and running. You can run loads of effects from within Ableton, plus if you like it you can buy it and use it for producing too. If you don't get on with it, you've not blown all your $ and can try the physical cdj/vinyl route?
