I have been thinking about this for a bit now. Dnb tempo with the same feel of the dubstep, less snares ect. so it could be mixed with jungle tunes. Is there any of this stuff being made?? The link for your tune does not work.

Amit

but I don't think it matches up to dubstep as its in a completely different tempo

Yes, if you haven't heard Amit, get his latest cd, now!

Diverse, there's plenty of half time drum and bass. Amit being the most obvious example.. but loads of people have done it. Digital, Breakage and Polar have all done a couple in the last few years. Dubstep didn't invent halfstep :)

Amit is kinda on that tip...halfstep drum and bass tempoed stuff. Pretty good...lots of releases on Commercial Suicide and he just had an album come out. There's an ill old Twisted Anger track that's a halftime track on the Breakage EP on Penny Black that's sick. When I started producing, I was doing some big bass stuff at about 160 bpm...all full of reggae samples with a halftime hip hop feel to it. If I remember I'll post some up.

nice thanks for the info, I hear tons of dnb tunes with halfstep sections in them, I just never hear tracks that stay half time. But I want to hear it with a bit more swing to it. The little sections I hear are all very stiff, hip hop'ish sounding
