About the Dubstep comp

Post by the mysteron » Mon Jul 17, 2006 2:38 pm

As there werent many entries from DOA for the dubstep comp and people from dubstepforum who missed the comp are showing some interest i'm thinking of adding some extra time for the people who want to enter, and ditching the forum vs forum thing and just having the best tune wins. What's everyone elses thoughts?

Its a bit dissapointing really considering 300 people downloaded the pack and quite a lot of people seemed interested to enter.

you can't be serious... whole weekend i've locked myself up to create something... lost friends... my girlfriend's angry... :?

... it made me finish a track, so that's progression! :D

feel free to add some extra time

I would have entered, but i was away for the duration of the competition, and i didn't like the fact that the sample pack wasn't fully compulsory

I thought that sample pack idea was good. Gave enough room to do your own thing but still put some constraints on...if you could only use the sample pack everyone would have 1 of 3 bass sounds, a generic vocal and elements very similar....

My entry is in but go for it with extra time...the more people onboard the better the competition...shame there's not more guys from DOA wanting to get on it....maybe dubstep isn't *that* easy to produce after all ;)

I'm on this, but unfortunately I don't have huge amount s of spare time and/or a net connection at home. But if there's an extension I will get an entry in.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

I was wondering what was going on. More time is cool, but let's at least hear what's been turned in so far. -q-

I think its over. I submitted a track and haven't heard anything back, so I'd like to post it on Myspace or whatever just so people can hear it. At this point I could care less about the competing aspect, I just wanna be able to hear & share what we all did individually. :8:
