Who's writing the twisted, trippy, psychedelic dubstep?

I love me some twisted bass music

Sci-fi - Trippy - Experimental....

Who writes the dubs that fit this vibe??

Big up anyone who takes a moment to inform a bass junkie ;)

Peace

Funny, because to me, that's what dubstep is all about. The future is now, but it has ben formed by the last 50 years of popularculture. Because the future is now, there is no tommorow, and the music will be dark, heavy and trippy. Dubstep is here!

Allways tripping at raves, dubstep has never been "real" party music to me. More a deep introvert escape, from the bleakness of reality, but a dark and sad one. To me, it seems like earlier psychedelic rave music doesn't really fit anymore. Back then it was about the far away future, now it's about the NOW!

What I'm trying to say is, kick back and enjoy your records once more, but from a more psychedelic perspective. It's all there!

And Kode9 is the trippiest, sci-fi'est of them all, if you ask me.

Draw for the joss-sticks and tie-dye shirts...

Seriously though fellas, check out some Joker, Zomby, Rustie and Starkey for something a little different.

Joker
Whistla
Darkstar
Ikonika

the four names of the eccentric/spacey sounds you need

Whistla is underrated.. the guy is mega experimental, so sometimes its not always bang on the mark, but there is something about his dischordant clashing take on UKG which doesnt sound like anything else

Darkstar, Ikonika, Rustie and Zomby, definately.

All that 8-bit, arcadegame-bleeping stuff, is what i was talking about . It's trippy, spacy and sci-fi, but is actually refering BACK in time, to older, more primitive computer sounds.

To me it creates a different vibe that is nostalgic and futuristic at the same time.

Also Quatro 330!

Check out older dub also. Guys like Lee Perry and Scientist are quity trippy. Scientist released LP's like Scientist Meets Space Invaders. That oldschool gaming thing again....
