DUB WAR OCTOBER SURPRISE

This month it's the election special at Dub War. As America teeters on the brink of collapse, what better way to reflect on an uncertain future than getting pummeled by subbass vibrations in a dark room?....

So we're glad to have two more young voices in the scene representing the next wave of talented producers transforming dubstep....

HEADHUNTER hails from Bristol, UK, and his new album for Tempa shows the range of sounds and tempos he continues to explore. Some truly breathtaking music that hits hard on a big system.

JUS WAN from San Francisco has quickly taken a place among the producers at the forefront of experimenting with minimal techno influences in his productions. With release and remix support from Scuba and Appleblim among others, Jus Wan's sound shows a predilection for glistening synth melodies and lush atmosphere.

presales for the win on this night.

GET THERE EARLY.

If you were there last month -- you saw how packed Love was. Oct 17th should be no different -- except for a repaired AC unit (fingers crossed).

If you're wondering why the theme is called OCTOBER SURPRISE, check THIS LINK.

17 days after this party, our 44th president will be elected. It's up to each of us to do our part.

VOTE.

and....

let's pack Club Love on Oct 17th! Gonna be a big night!

haha i remember seein ya and you were like "OMG! ITS HOT! and PACKED!"

it was just as packed and NO ac or vents going. no fans. nothing. honestly it was like a wall of heat you walked right into. barely even able to breath! it was making me sick to be honest so was kind of in and out the whole night. not fun! we asked the door people about ac and he was like..."nah this is just how it is...like it or leave it"....

hotel pennsylvania has some good rates. stayed there before and the doors remind me of a submarine or some kind of titanic set up or some bullshit. but it costs like a buck fifty-ish a night. wasnt too bad!

hotels A through D on this link, are cheaper than everything you'll find further uptown. you're right on the border of chinatown too.

You could also check the Carlton Arms Hotel, on 3rd Avenue and 25th Street. It's not terribly far from Love, the rates are decent (less than 150 for 2 people), and the rooms are each designed and painted by an artist (folk-art style, not trendy boutique hotel). Friends who stayed there, after recommending it, said they liked it - check the website for room photos. It's hidden away in a fairly bland area but may be fun......?
