'Kin ell...now that's a good line up...might have to consider this...DMZ on Jan 7th as well!!!
You've had some wicked guests up there...would love to see Pendle Coven, their material on Modern Love has been top notch...

Probably the funniest NYE I've ever had.
The sound system started to breakin up towards the end of Mark One's set. Someone said Virus had spilt some liquid on the mixer or something. By the time Kode9 came on, only one deck was working. He did a heavy, Shaka style, one deck set for half an hour before the sound system completely packed up. Oh well. Was great while it lasted, especially the cheers in between tracks as he changed the record.

yeah, it was a funny night..a bit gutted about the sound problems..to get kode all the way up from london and then that to happen was a bit of a nightmare..also it was going well, pretty packed downstairs with a good mixture of people and quite a few women as well.. most people were properly getting into the sounds..what was with the popper crew though?
do you remember a girl singing 'I just can't get enough' accapella? well funny..some guy was saying who the fuck is this blah blah can't mix for shit blah blah and I was just like it's a bit tricky with just one deck mate.
anyway it was good to meet kode, nice chilled guy who took all the problems in good humour, and virus held it down again..hopefully will see a similar turnout to the next PLOY..

EZ,
massive apologies to those who made the effort. unfortunately someone did spill water pon di mixer, left us with one channel for half an hour and then gave up completely. Massive respect to Kode9 for putting up with all the shit, respect to MK1 + virus for truly merking the system.
I was/still am absolutly gutted myself, it was shaping up to be a heavy session...oh well eh?
shouts to Datura and Geoff - i'll sort ye both g/lists for the feb Ploy if you're comin down.
Next Ploy for all the faithful massive will be a very special debut (correct me if i'm wrong) live set from the mysterious 'various production' crew, on saturday feb 4th. Support from MCR's 'Omen' and Leeds soulja 'DJ Distinction'. smackin it for 2006.
