SICK OF SOCIETY?!?! SICK OF YOUR LIFE?!

Post by raposanegra » Thu Oct 16, 2008 8:41 pm

Am I the only one who's sick of this world we live in?!

Don't you ask yourselves "What the fuck am I doing?"

I mean... I always wanted to live near the nature, and I can't see my self working behind a desk or something like that...

And now there's this ECONOMY GOING DOWN THE DRAIN shit and I just keep thinking for myself "What the fuck am I doing?"

Why am I in school if this shit is all going down?

Why am I studying if I don't even know I'll have money to go to the University?

I heard about this village in Portugal that is called TAMERA, and it's an "auto-sustained" village... they produce everything they eat, they produce their electricity... it looks awesome! check it: http://www.tamera.org/

It's an ECO-VILLAGE, I guess you already heard about this villages...

My head is a mess right now... :u:

WE ALL WANT TO BE FREE! And to be free, we need to get out of this society!

PEACE! :h: :c: :c: :c: :c: :c: :c: :c:

The concept is different... if you check the website you will see it's nothing crazy... it's really rational.

i thought about doing that....here in greece...

i got bored. but i know exactly how u feel....it just takes a lot of discipline to let go of everything u know, especially instant gratification.

just go without one thing you would consider a necessity for a while and see how u do.

i dont have a washing machine...and i dunno where to find a laundromat so i wash my clothes by hand...i break my back like once a week for that...washing towels are the WORST! but...i gotta do it. oh and it takes at least 2 days to dry.

try that.

Yeah, good time to re-evaluate and go again.
But that doesn't make life and society shit, particularly if you've got choices.

I'm not saying I want to live like a monkey but have a simple life and live in a small community

but... ehrrrr ... it's late and the words in English aren't coming out...

But I just want to know if there's more people feeling this

I'll try to post something tomorrow

Now living like a monkey thats something I could subscribe to.

Sat around eating nuts all day and swinging in trees. And cracking one off in full view of the public. Not disimilar to how I'm living now if I'm honest

Sounds similar to Arcosani... http://www.arcosanti.org/

..but I'll tell you something..most of those places want you to bring some sort of knowledge to the table..so school is no waste...

I often have the desire to live in the woods. One of the reasons that I will be applying for the peace corps. Hoping to go to an Arab-speaking country like Morocco or Jordan and live a completely different life to the one I currently live for a few years. I also want to teach people who have a desire to learn. My degree is in Linguistics (well actually a dual degree with philosophy as well) and I study Spanish, German and know how to read/write Arabic and say a few words. I think I want to be a translator eventually but I'm torn between not ever wanting to talk/deal with the common man and wanting to talk to everyone on the planet to get all the perspectives. I do know, however, that I've spoken to plenty of Americans here and I'm fucking sick of them as a whole.

But no matter how you want to forsake the world, there is no education that will ever hinder you. It's always good to know and learn as much as possible.

sounds like a sect. my plan is to work my head off, earn millions, and reitre early to an uninhabited tropical island that i will buy with my millions (or alternatively rent for 99 years) and live there in my bungalow eating fruit and fish and growing greens. i'll have a nice little canoe, and maybe a veggie garden, couple of chickens or what not, maybe a pig. done. oh maybe a solar panel or two (for my satellite phone so i can get the internet). and a massive hammock!
