Monitor Problem

Is it dual amped? It could be that woofers amplifier went bad. Is it getting power? (With the monitors on, and no media going through it, press on it very lightly with your fingers and see if they feel the same resistance).

My friend had a similar problem I think with the same speakers, about a month or after he bought them. He took the faulty one back to Digi Village in Clapham and they repaired it free of charge. It took ages to get mended though.

Yes they are dual amped and the one that isn't working has less resistance than the one that is working. So does this indicate a problem with the amp then?

Yeah, the amp went bad. :? Sorry man, is it still under warranty?

nah, two weeks out. :lol: .

is it hard to replace an amp?

I think I can source the part but know idea how hard it is to fit.

cheers for the advice will delve into the thing when I get back from work tonight see if I can get an idea of how to replace the amp

I have these monitors. I hope the same doesn't happen to me!

Need a sub with them though, they are a little bright!

No prob.

It could be a soldier joint came loose or something. Amp replacement is usually pretty easy, you replace the whole panel amp typically (usually both amps are on one plate).
