you have everything you need in logic to get down to some serious dub business. work at it. free advice: check out one of the patches, in particular, in ultrabeat.

in terms of getting thick bass sounds ES2 has everything you'll need to get it sounding pretty full. from a tutorials point of view check out the videos on youtube by sflogicninja - some really good guide to the AUs that come in the box.

the tracks on my myspace (in my sig) use mostly the synths that come with logic if you're interested.

Also, a good tip for ultrabeat - if you want to use your own samples select the kit called drag and drop samples and then you can drag your drum sounds into the waveform display in ultrabeat and build your own kits.

You're probably dragging them onto the wrong type of track. If you click on the '+' button near the top of the screen and then make sure that is set to audio, if you create one of those tracks it should be blue. Try dragging the audio into that track, should fix the problem.

use the router (which is the box in the middle if ES2) and on one of the slots set the target as Cutoff 1+2 and the source as LFO 2. if you then play around with the slider to the right of your router slot and the cutoff in the filter it should start wobbling quite nicely :)

well sometimes it might be cancelled out by other stuff in the router from presets. It's a good synth and it makes a lot of sense once you've used it a bit. the manuals for logic are really well written and informative. definately worth checking out if you haven't already.
