Beats are definately of the idm flavour with some dubby synth lines and half step grooves thrown in.

from the urban dictionary:

half step

1. to start something with no intention of finishing.

2. to talk like you are going to get violent with someone and not follow through.

Use in sentence: see that guy over there, he doesn't half step...he'll kick your ass

"I never half step because I'm not half stepper"

half step refers to the drum tempo.

say your song is at 140bpm but your drum rhythm is slow, the drum phrasing doesn't sound 4/4 but sounds like 8/4. so your drums would sound like 70bpm...half time, half step...dubstep? :o

it's the "in" thing to do and i hear it's all the rage in croydon

rather than having the kick drum propel the dance like in typical 4/4 dance music, dubstep is more about the sub-bass moving the song forward, in my experience

so, often the sub-bass hits on the 1's and 3's, while the kick may get skipped, making for some silly looking, but fun dancing

very generalized talk right here - forgive me :|

No worries...

It's weird that you say that though....

I made the tune at 87 bpm and people tend to say its at 170 bpm for some reason...

Is it the bassline that's too fast?

Well after all if it's the "in" thing to do.... :D

The first tune in the player (Jazzman Terror) sounds very Skweee...

ask them over here - www.nationofskweee.com - if they think so too ;)

An easier explination of 'Halfstep'... Breaks would be considered 'fullstep' to dubstep's 'halfstep'. In breaks the snare is on the 2 and the 4 traditionally where in dubstep the snare is usually on the 3. Half the amount of snare. You could also say that Hip Hop is the halfstep equivilent of DnB.

Listening to your other tunes... definately skweee sounding save the last two. :D

Would love 320s of all of them, I spin both Skweee and dubstep :D
