Basically I have been avoiding the forum for an age it seems now, listening to bits and pieces in the dubstep section of redeye etc and generally buying alot less records and I think the reason why is becuase im looking for records which I may not be able to find, can anyone else suggest to me any artists that are still making deep 2 step, basically along the lines of Horsepower - Gorgon Sound, Forsaken - Hypnotised/fighting spirit - Pangea Router/ I and I.

Im not sure if anyone else is making records like this or has previously but please feel free to give me suggestions both old and new, failing that i shall keep digging for those old and new gems that occasionally pass us by and also keep making my own tracks in this vein.

Steve Gurley, El-B & Ghost should be on your list of classic producers.

Cheers for the mention lads. There are many producers fully on the 2 step revival, right acrooss the spectrum. Whether it be dark and break or upbeat straight 2step or house influenced.

Producers I like on this are Submerse, TRG, Synkro, Burial, Sines or older names like Horsepower, El-B and Zed Bias are all worth checking out, all with thier own evolution of the 2 step sound.

And like it or lump it, uk house/funky is the new garage. And jeeeeee, there's some goood stuff about, Ill Blue and Nyah - Frontline, Hard House Banton - Reign/Sirens, anything Crazy Cousins / Paleface touch, Lil Silver, Dubplate Malice. The garage revival is a lot!

tbh I was a similar way, I used to like the big names, wookie, mj cole, so solid. but never dug into it deep till 2003/4 and mainly because some good mates were into it. I do like finding storming old tunes I never knew existed now though.
