is it just me or do anybody else ever buy records and some have few crackles and pops? I got brothers grim lp and Dirtysouth/ Say yes recently and on the brothers grim nearly every tune has a few pops same as say yes.. It really pisses me off, i don't mind tunes popin over time but from brand new takes the piss.

i don't think he's quite grasped the idea of punctuation yet.
or the use of paragraphs.
or sentences for that matter.

I kinda like a few of them ya know, gives that analogue feel. It's part of the game though, issues happen and can't always be avoided. If it's bad enough, you can probably get a replacement or a refund from most sites.

Buy CD's/MP3's if you don't like the crackle and pop.

crackle is what its about.its the sacrifice you make for having tunes that dont sound like theyve been artificially balanced and totally sterile and flat. ala cd,mp3

you gotta love the roughness of vinyl.
my first dubs sound fucked now, but that's half the fun!
pops, crackles, hiss, loss of high end, warped records, off centre holes, wrong labels, its all good as long as it doesn't skip in the mix!!!

yeah! I love the sound of vinyl crackles and all! I got my first dub cut this week of a remix I'm doing for DZ. The wav sounds pretty sterile, but on wax it sounds fantastic!!!

i got this record and the say yes side is fine but dirty south has a skip just as the bass kicks ! makes it impossible to mix unless you start halfway through the tune! this is how it was when it came in the post.
poor quality vinyl or something?

That doesn't make any difference.

pops and crackles are a part of vinyl... I'm also picky

but I accept its a apart of the format.. ya gotta love the vibrant sound produced and just playing and handelling is all part of the experience pops n crackles n all..
I recently got Skreamizm 3 which is pretty crackly sold as new from rubadub think it had seen some usage though given the finger prints all over em, but I'm happy to have em and they still sound wicked!!!

If the music pops... In the middle of a beatmatching Kung Fu move... It's awful... But... Crackle is what vinyl is about! Lovelly!
