I am sampling sound from porn clips and chopping them up with the slice to midi feature in Live, so far I have come up with a number of ambient sounds that work really well with a bit of reverb/delay.

However I am concerned that some of the clips may not be great quality, they sound ok on my monitors (these are the same ones i user for djing and not studio monitors more like hifi) but i wonder if the sound will worsen once amplified, I am not to bothered about a perfect sound nothing wrong with a bit of grit.

Should I just keep sampling from these poorer quality clips or should I invest in some high quality porn?

Im still using Live 6 because till now I found nothing lacking in it. What can "slice to midi" do for you? Maybe its the argument Ive been waiting for to switch to 7

Slice to midi alows you to take a loop/sample and slices it up into a drum rack, each slice with it's own chanel, and creates a midi clip, with a note to play each slice.

so if you move the notes you change the order of the sounds.

It is Great not just for drum loops thought sample someone talking and splice diferent parts togeterh and ypu get some really weird sounds, and quickly.

most daws did it like ages ago, live seems to have.. fallen behind..

u shud get a porn sample pack......ive gt bare waves in my itunes at the bottom that always seem to come up on random when other ppl r in the room...things like "im a bad boy" or "let me lick it for you" in sum seductive voice haha

'get' HD stuff? The sound will be pretty much perfect? I mean I often sample sounds from films, not clips or anything just like.. cups falling, cars driving off, slamming of fridges.. the little odd things you don't really take notice too in films.. and I just use my Rapidshare account and easy to find websites.

A months rapidshare is like.. 4 quid.. worthy investment... Spesh cause its good for legit stuff.. Most sample packs and stuff I come across are on rapidshare, in one form or another.
