Tonight!

Hour 1: Dangamouse (Tongue and Groove, Scotland)

Dangamouse aka Barry Glen has been a recent pioneer for the breakbeat sound in Scotland, and a favorite within the underground club scene. His sets are recognized and respected for their high energy, unique track selection and often experimental edge. His eclectic shows focus more on the heavier Tearout Breaks end of the genre but he can throw in a wide range of styles from Hip Hop, Dubstep, Electro to Drum n Bass, Its all about tha MASH UP!!! In April 2003 he launched his first club night with great success. Since then Tongue n Groove has gone on to host many events, with guests such as Future Funk Squad, Grizzla, Thomas The Search Engine, High Eight, Jackmaster, Transformerman & Emmanuel Ferreria to name a few. July 2006 will see Dangamouse re-locating to Vancouver BC, where he has already taken steps to extend & continue his projects in Canada, eventualy turning Tongue n Groove into an international club night. Dangamouse's other recent projects include 2 radio shows, The Undercurrent Show on Nu Skool Breaks Radio, which is presented on a weekly rotation with Rob Scalex, and airs every Monday 7pm to 9pm (GMT). The other is The Tongue n Groove Show on Subcity Radio, presented by Dangamouse and fellow Tongue n Groove residents Jimmy Wax & BloodRunCold, airs every Saturday 8pm till 10pm (GMT). September 2005 Dangamouse was appointed as head of events for Subcity Radio, and has organized many large scale club nights to promote the station and upcoming local talent at venues like The Arches & Subclub. Dangamouse is also heavily involved with Glasgow based club Camouflage as a Resident & co-promoter. Camouflage are pushing an interactive live audio/visual set up within a club environment, their installations defy imagination and put a new edge on underground clubbing.

Tonight!

Hour 1: I-Sound (Wasteland/FullWatts/Transparent Records)

I-Sound is a New York based artist working in the fields of improvised, electronic music and DJ culture. He works as a solo performer but has worked with a wealth of musicians in various settings. He collaborates regularly with Swiss improv trio Koch/Schutz/Studer under the name Roots and Wires, as well as, with the German electronic group To Rococo Rot. While he does release material through various routes he also owns two labels: Transparent and Full Watts. With a style that balances uncompromising experimentalism with healthy doses of populism I-Sound atempts to bridge the gaps between high and low, academic and street, chaos and structure.

Craig has just released his third album under the name Wasteland in partnership with UK breakcore icon, DJ Scud. Needless to say, it's heavy and if you look hard, All Versus all should be in stores now. To help celebrate this release, we've got an exlcuive mix of heavyweight business from the man, mixing up old-school hardcore, dubstep, classic dub and some of his own beats.

Plus, for those of you tuning in via the web and locally, we have a couple of Wasteland t-shirts to give away..
