Get yourself a pair of Sennheisers on a budget, HD202's Bassy as fook, the bass they ommit straight into your brain has made me fall asleep on my keyboard :D

Or if you have a bit more cash go for the HD25s http://froogle.google.co.uk/froogle?q=s ... e&ct=title but for that price you could nearly get yorself a sub....

think most monitors go down to at least 50hz which is where the bulk of sub rests in most tunes. just make sure you're far enough back from the monitors to catch the sub - those wavs are long so you miss em if you're too close.

had the nicest sub until i ran out of cash and had to sell it, thought it woul make a huge difference not havin one but you've just gotta gauge what you can hear in other tunes and mix to that to accomodate. check freq analysers etc to make sure the uber low end isn't stupidly large or small then test it other systems.

bit of a haphazard way of doin things but works to an extent. peace
