It's a minimal piece, good choice of elements, execution and ideas, more variations would have been nice but still I like it as it is now. It's a dark, haunting track. Lovely. The amens in the second half of the tune seem out of place tho...

thank you for listening...constructive comments always apreciated! If you get a chance check the other one as well. (Bad Business) It has a totaly different aproach...not so minimal.

just a fun little experiment...tryin to find my style somewhere between vex'd and skream.

the vocal is DOUBLE THUMBS UP !!

the use of noises DOUBLE THUMBS UP !!

as for the amen bit QUESTIONABLE .... cant make my mind up for the break section ... but do like the reverse part when used

middle just beats n noises section is where you lose something ... its needs something cant put my finger on it ......

unsure if it was mastered or not but to ear id have to say that space zap sounds nice but to loud ....

DUDE my personal advice is this .... all the comments have been ones of your on to something with the samples and sounds u have .....

so if i was you id try to arrange those things in a different way n see what you come up with ......... trust me your on to something with this but like all good tunes its not just how the sounds work together u have understood that!!! its how the sounds are arranged that is the real art of production ...

keep at sir /// i like it so far ,,, just keep with this and im sure this when complete will do all right ......

thanks for the listen keep up the good work

nice, tune. with some work, it could be some shell-shock inducing shit.

i agree with the amens seemin outta place. my main critique is the beat's a bit on the clunky side. maybe some more percussion to make it flow better, or give it some more polyrhythmic aspects.

keep us updated.

thats ok sir , !! like i say u have the foundation of sumfing big there just needs arrangment and no harm in adding a few more noises etc

its so easy when your into production to create something in which to yourself is dappa ,but to have the confidence to show people u dont know
must be differcult .... and im not the type of person whos gunna gun a man down for trying ??? im not musicially gifted nor creative but i do have a ear for whats not n what is in my own eyes..... hence im gunna start a label >> go ape <<

your question about how do u know when a tracks done ? in whos eyes yours or ours ?? im really not the person to chat on this as my production was done in 1992 and hahaha rubbish .... hence got out when i could ....
my creativity is nun ... lol anyway u are on to something ... how many people have said it in this thread ... i hope u do something with it ,please dont rush it .... do 5-8 versions and go with what u think works .....

as for finding your own style ?? dude be u,ok your always have infulances with in a scene but skream/vex'd etc etc the reason they are big is they are them .... doing there thing not wanting to be any1 except themselves, this also is a key point of production in why sum do shine more than others ...

personally i cant wait to hear the changes cause deep down i know u know your on to something ..... back 1992 i did understand arrangement but this dude dj pulse aka ashley brown xl recording from dance conspiritcy told me to follow records i loved instead of working from scratch ....

what i mean there is copy the arrangement of a track u love ,u love it because of the sounds and the arrangement so try with the samples u have a get the 1st idea from there

doing it this way is a easy method of sumone with exsperiance and having not to pay silly money to employ and exspensive engineer !!! lol

made sence to me at the time lol

try it see what u come up with ...... one love m8 tpi

:D

coming along nicely.
the dub bass works pretty well, but does kinda sound outta place with the overall mood.
i like what youve done with the beat, but those timabales (i think) sound a bit stiff...some more swing please
the implementation of the amens works much better in this version.

round three?

hello m8

:o whoa !!!! :o fup me sideways sir

u did seriously think on this ...........................

1stly i want to say credit to you pat yourself on the back sir / works paying off and my 1st impressions of it now r ... yes yes as im comparing it to the 1st one i listened too .....

now ...

intro is nice infact arranged very well...but if i was u place some more volume on the knock knock tap tap congo ish beat , volume up alittle on dubby under tone sub needed hug speaker power , lower the big stab drum but place alittle more echo on it this allowing the space astroy noise to be clearier .........

the voice sample aswell could do with a fraction volume up , plus try it with
out the astro stab in it, very noticable sound that takes the ear away from the voice sample .....

all i have done is sat n listened over n over again up to the drop ...

i will ofcourse take time out and loop up the next section and give us my comments

................................

you have done a good job m8 ... nice to see !!!!

seriously think with a few minor adjustments your have a very good product ..... ready either to putout yourself or see if a labels interested .

like i say u cant rush a tune and please dont on this one .... it has all the correct elements it just needs fine tunning and ask any producer thats the hard thing ...............

-----------------------------

speak to you tomorrow sir with another up date
