Hi,

This is going to sound really noobish, but i just have no idea how to make the tasty quick part of a standard jungle beat, for example,

kick, snare, something something something snare.

all help appreciated.

kick, snare, hat, ghost snare, hat, ghost snare, snare?
ghost snare = a quiet snare basically.

the 'amen' is the drum loop you're looking for

sample your favorite funk drummer from the 60's or 70's, or lately your local unknown dubstep producer and use as your own.

seriously, thanks for all of your help, i'll check out the pack tonight.

and that little tutorial on the Amen Break was amazing, nice to hear a little history behind the sounds every now and then. i love the idea that nothing is original, makes me feel a lot better about my tunes.

thanks again

you could also rewrite the amen with your own hits:

for 16 step bar
kick - 1, 3, 11, 12
snare - 5, 8, 10, 13, 16
hh/ride - 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15
