Synth Repair

Had a small accident with a synthesiser, basically the ac cable was tripped over and it pulled out the connection on the back (see pictures) Im wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much it would cost to repair? or if there is anywhere which specialises in synth/keyboard repair in the leeds area?. I was going to unscrew it myself and see whether it was something which could be fixed with a bit of solder but I think paying for it to be done properly is a better/safer option.

Should be extremely simple to repair.

If you open it up hopefully you will find a length of wire which just needs to be stripped and connected either to your ripped socket or a new one which you can buy. Otherwise you could just cut the end of the existing AC cable and just hard wire them together.

See if you can find a small electronics components store near you or check yellow pages see if there is someone near by.

Honestly it shouldn't cost more than £10-20 for someone to solder it up.

You might be unlucky and find that it was directly soldered to a PCB board which could mean more problems if the board is damaged in any way.

cheers that sounds simple enough, im hoping thats not the case though im a bit worried though as it flipped through the air like an acrobat before hitting the ground. Nothing seems damaged though other than the ac cable theres no real telling though yet. Thanks though.
