I've put Dubstep on BBC Radio Five Live

Post by phill the bass » Mon Dec 22, 2008 1:52 pm

I'm very fortunate to have produced BBC Radio Five Live's Sport Review of the Year....sporting highlights of the year alongside the music of 2008.

Its two hours long, broken into 4 parts. Should you have a listen, you'll hear 4 Dubstep tunes used for the following events:

* England's Summer of Cricket - Deep Pools by Ital Tek (Start of Part 2)
* Usain Bolt's 3 world records at the Olympics - An Examination of Time by Babylon System and Noah D as well as The Last B Boy by Matty G (slightly after the middle of Part 3)
* Autumn Boxing Round-up - Headstrung by Distance (towards the end of Part 4).

Don't worry, I'll declare all the music logging details for royalty payments.

Its Five Live on Christmas Eve at 8 o'clock, Christmas morning at 5am, or you can listen back to it up to about a week after its been broadcast via the BBC iplayer:

Enjoy if you listen

big up man

iTAL tEK deserves to be recognised outside of the dubstep community...

'still shores' by him would be a good one to use on something related to wildlife should you be involved with such things...

yeah i have unreleased tunes he gave me from before and i saw him several times...

also booked him before he bought out a record on planet mu

i meant within real music circles as opposed to the limited realms of underground uk dance music.....burial is known outside these circles for example..

Cheers. Lets push things forward as Skinner once said. When I heard the rumour that I was gonna make the whole thing I knew I just had to use that tune for Bolt. It was a buzz to sequence.

You're very welcome. Thanks for the PM, much appreciated. I'll take up your offer if I make something similar again.
