Reason Synths

Post by spliffy » Mon Dec 29, 2008 3:03 pm

What do people think are the advantages and the disadvantages of the different synths available on Reason?

Thanks.

I mean like Subtractor vs Thor vs Malstrom.

I'm new to this producing lark and they each seem to have different capabilities and the like so was just wondering what people think.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question.

I only use Reason for the Thor (and sometimes Redrum) and its an absolute beast which can do anything. But its been said time and time again, all Synths do the same thing its just a metter of knowing how to do it and which one YOU are comfortable using.

i don't like subtractor i've never got on with it and for some reason it makes a high pitched whining noise which i can't seem to get rid of.

use thor loads and malstrom more.
