Thought it was worth starting a rolling thread for new Funky releases a la 'In Shops Now' on the main Dubstep forum. Especially considerng a lot of tunes seem to be only initally available at Uptown (Lil Silva) or Blackmarket (Cooly G), for example.

The autotune vocal puts me off, and not one of Roska's best beats. I was a bit disappointed with the sample I heard.
Good to see Funky in some more shops now, I guess SRD or Cargo or someone has picked up on it now.

Z Audio are doing a few bits, mainly everything Roska touches and by the looks of it NB Funky as well. The main distro for funky appears to be Paramount, a new kid on the block based nr BM Soho...

I would imagine so, that's just a case of paying for shipping really more than anything else. As I understand it, they're launching their web site with online ordering soon.

i like that tune a lot you know! i really like the intricate little autotune edits and todd edwards-y reversed melodies. it's sickly sweet for sure but i rate it
plus when everything drops out its raw

The problem is I had a 17 year old kid working with me for a few weeks and during that time I heard every major hip hop and rnb show on radio1 and 1xtra, which is fine with me, but the result is that I am a bit autotuned out, haha.
EDIT Although I'm listening again now and I reckon I made a snap judgement on first listen.

Does anyone know why funky seems to be selling at a slightly marked up price? a 12" always seems to be around £7 rather than dubstep's standard of £5/6.

grime prices. shorter/smaller runs + no distro package deal arrangements would be my guess.

I really like that Darkus Beat Company, Roska remix track. Never heard it before.
Shame I can only see it on vinyl.
