Plastic People, Shoreditch, Friday 9th January

Post by cokeahontas » Thu Jan 15, 2009 3:26 pm

After not being able to get into Fabric, (as they oversold tickets by the truckload) we went to Plastic People where The Bug was playing and occasionally Loefah and Plastician jumped in and helped.

At about 2am, a fight broke out at the front which Loefah attempted to split up, and it was at this time that someone got stabbed. I was wondering if anyone else saw the fight and could shed any light as to what happened to ruin an otherwise fantastic amount of wobbling.

No one got stabbed. There were no knives.

There was an incident. It was dealt with as quickly as possible with minimum disruption to punters in the venue.

Why do you want to talk about what ruined a great rather than what was great about it?

A few idiots ruined the night for some people yes. Sadly this shit happens. This is most certainly not the usual Bash or Plastic People vibe.

I was there. A group of 3-4 lads came in and started dancing throwing their weight about near the back of the dancefloor. I just stood and watched. They weren't getting the reaction they were hoping for so they moved to the front and continued to act like dickheads, which is when this 'fight' broke out. (It was more of a scrap than an actual fight). This is when leofah stepped in to stop it and got his shirt torn. Within about a minute it was over and the dickheads were outside, where they gave Winston (doorman) a load of shit and smashed some bottles. All the trouble seemed to come from this one white geeza with a shaved head, clearly the ring leader.

NO knives were involved, you either have a bad source, or your chattin breeze...

P.S. I'm white with shaved head, were not all bad!
DIR-T-T-TY!

Was really sick night. Bubbling and not ramjam. Plenty of space to dance and people were doing lots of it.

Morgan Bug and Loe were rotating sets. Good vibes

Lack of MCS and it being on a friday meant it didn't quite have the bash feel of old but it was the first one back. Expecting big things.

Next Bash Feb 13th

just how i like it! (the ones ive been to in the past havent been too busy either). shame about the lack of mcs though, kinda a complimentary requirement of the bash vibe surely, no?

Well all I know is that I saw a fight go off and was informed by some of my friends that were at the front that a knife (or similar sharp object) was used.

Found it odd myself as there was no mention of it in any papers, local or national, and that they carried on the night after removing said people.

I will have to dig deeper to see what exactly they saw because they wouldnt just say that someone got stabbed for no reason :?

Anywho, amazing set from The Bug! :D

After the incident had been taken outside I remember him dropping Earth a Run Red which was so sick.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bash, was the first time I have been and far from the last.
Its the second time I have heard hip hop being played on the PP system and it makes a nice change.

Soon come the next!

Here's hoping he was just concerned nobody got hurt.

Anyway - big up Winston on the door. He shouldn't be getting any shit of anyone!
