New Records W/C 12.12.2005

Post by zefa » Tue Dec 13, 2005 4:47 pm

I thought that seeing as there are quite a lot of peeps here who come from different musical backgrounds, we should post a weekly selection of what we all buy so we can get to know each others musical tastes, argue about records etc...

I thought it would be good if you list a record you give a scentence long exp of what the tune is like etc...

See how it goes....

Ill start:

DMZ 006 - What is there to say...rude tunes!!

Boka 004 - Distance - Fallen/Taipan - Fallen is one helluva tune, nice and deep, great for halfsteppin...not too keen on the flip side tho...

SouthSide - Mr Keys EP - MC2, Merkin, Kea Lo - Really enjoying this three tracker, Skream doing his grime ting, A side is the highlight for me.

SouthSide Dubstars - Mark One -Rise of the machines - Been waiting for this for ages, proper tune...the B side aint to shabby either, typical Mark One Bizniz

Modern Love - Claro intellecto - Patience - This guy is writes awsome music, if you like minimal techno/house biz then this is your man. This is the eagerly awaited new single from him and it doesnt dissapoint, three deep tracks following in a similar vein to his album and previous singles on AI.

False Tuned - Paul St Hilare - What a difference our sound makes - Great new single by the rhythm & sound MC (Tikiman) in a nice heavy dub style...perfect smoking music...

Got it from boomkat when it came out the other week...if it's not there then try www.hardwax.de dont know what the postage will be like from there, but they have an great dub selection...

M7 is one of my favourite tunes of all time...such an awsome record...as is Q1.1...

Glad your digging the Claro Intellecto...all the stuff on Modern Love is pretty good...esp the Bitstream stuff...their recent 12" on Touchin Bass was ace!!
