what would I use this for then?! can nab one for free.
would I be able to use it as a poor man's serato, connect two decks and a laptop to mix vinyl and mp3s? but without the vinyl manipulation?

basically what you'd do is post it to me for £50.
its a MIDI controller, it controls MIDI.
yeah you could use it to control serato/traktor or whatever. if i had it, i'd use it for making tunes. MIDI controllers let you control MIDI parameters in a host program, so you can use it for anything really.

yeah, fruity is really easy to get on the go with a midi controller.
basically, after you've plugged it in and installed drivers, and got fruity to recognise it,
right click any knob and click ''link to controller'' then twiddle the knob you want to assign it to on your controller
boom. sorted. easy.
if its a third party plugin (like a different synth - albino or whatever) its a little different. twiddle the knob on the vst that you want to assign to your midi controller, then click the button in the top left of the vst plugin, go down to ''last tweaked parameter'' and then ''link to controller'' - this allows you to control vsts & shit with a midi controller.
the last knob you tweaked on the vst will be assigned to the knob you choose to tweak on your midi controller.
you can invert the input or put a curve/cut on it too, i think its in a menu called ''input mapping'' or something.
get on
