Headphones

Post by kyle g » Thu Jan 29, 2009 10:16 am

I'm looking at getting some new headphones, wondering if anyone could offer any advice. I'm looking at the JVC HA-NC250's or the 100's as they're cheaper, but I don't want to sacrifice good sound. Anybody that has used either of these and can give some advice, would be appreciated.

what sort of price range are we talking for a good set? i'm not necessarily concerned with the noise canceling feature of the nc-250's, more so the sound quality.

Sennheiser or AKG... I got sennheisers... pretty expensive tho... mainly cus my monitors are terrible (needed something with a fairly flat response)...

URRGGHH!!!!

edit: never trust the stereo image of headphones though (unless you listen to all ur music through headphones)

Sennheiser HD25.

Nothing better imo.

Comfortable for hours on end, nice flat response across the range, great isolation (but not TOO much)

I've got some Sony's but I can't stand listening to music on them as the bass is just too much.

I'd need a price range and what you want to use them for to make a recommendation. I am an AKG guy myself. I have these bad boys.

Vintage AKG Sextett

And a beater pair of MDR-v600's for djing.

For djing, I use sennheiser HD280. They have great isolation.
