Computer opinion or recommendations

Post by insine » Mon Sep 04, 2006 3:43 pm

ok, its time for me to upgrade my computer and i need your advice. heres some things i could use some info on.

desktop vs. notebook?

marsyas said mini towers suck? whats the better option? micro-atx?

amd 64 x2 vs. core 2 duo?

i was about to buy amd 64 x2 3800+ but now im considering the core 2 duo.

i could also use recommendations on motherboards, soundcards, and hard drives.

thanks alot!!!

i wouldnt buy 3800+ coz 4400+ dont cost that much more and it's more powerfull. but if u hav xtra $$$ then buy am2 5000+, should be a power-processor 4 sure, and use less energy.. i havent heard that many stories about duo 2, so cannot help with that.

i have AMD x2 4400+, motherboard asrok939dual-sata2, 2gig ram, emu-1820m and all workin perfectly. no problems so far.

no i've never had a mac but anybody who keeps up will tell you that macs are better in every way and are now comparable in price

my brother was wearing an osX shirt the other day and i was like woh cuz he's a hardcore unix nerd.

anyway you don't need windows if you got a mac but yeah they can run windows. they also run all the good software without windows

fuck games

get a wii if you wanna play games

I recently got a truly shit hot machine from these guys: http://www.nusystems.co.uk/

Its mind bogglingly quick, very quiet and very neatly built. Money well spent imo.

These boys are very good. Profesional stuff. If i hadn't been using macs for so long i might consider them. Every thing i've read about them is a1..
