				ok, its time for me to upgrade my computer and i need your advice. heres some things i could use some info on.
desktop vs. notebook?
marsyas said mini towers suck? whats the better option? micro-atx?
amd 64 x2 vs. core 2 duo?
i was about to buy amd 64 x2 3800+ but now im considering the core 2 duo.
i could also use recommendations on motherboards, soundcards, and hard drives.

				i wouldnt buy 3800+ coz 4400+ dont cost that much more and it's more powerfull. but if u hav xtra $$$ then buy am2 5000+, should be a power-processor 4 sure, and use less energy..  i havent heard that many stories about duo 2, so cannot help with that.
i have AMD x2 4400+, motherboard asrok939dual-sata2, 2gig ram, emu-1820m and all workin perfectly.  no problems so far.

				no i've never had a mac but anybody who keeps up will tell you that macs are better in every way and are now comparable in price
my brother was wearing an osX shirt the other day and i was like woh cuz he's a hardcore unix nerd.
anyway you don't need windows if you got a mac but yeah they can run windows.  they also run all the good software without windows

				nah, i dont play games. but, i dont think i can afford a mac. whats the price range of these mac that are comparible to a pc? are you talking about a notebook mac? send me some links plz.

Been working on these for years, sound pc plus you get so much in any bundle! Plus a 40GB sample lib, plus expert support by musical minded ppl, one numba n not fucking recorded shit just a guy called simon at the other end (I know his name cos I call him alot, helps with anything connected to teh PC, hes a ledgend)

These boys are very good. Profesional stuff. If i hadn't been using macs for so long i might consider them. Every thing i've read about them is a1..
