Ehehe, I actually thought about the Virus or the V-Synth but they are a "bit" beyond my budget.

Get a virus c desktop, should be well within your budget and to be honest with the exception of the hypersaw you're not really missing much by not getting the TI.

Depends what kinda sound you're after really ... you can look on eBay for some old analog synths, some of em go for quite cheap these days.
Or go for a new VA, like Virus, MS2000 etc..
You should try some out, and check samples on the web. Also Sonicstate.com and harmonycentral have loads of user reviews of new and old synths.

nice synth but overpriced nowadays, bloody hard to find spares, and definitely not the one to go for if you're only gonna have one hardware synth.
I'd be much more inclined to look at:
Access Virus
Waldorf
Nord (the Micro Modular is cheap and very powerful

)
or maybe even a Juno 106? Or a Korg Z1 - seriously powerful synth but often overlooked.
BLACK BOX & BOX CLEVER
