This one's a big look for Exeter. After 2 years of gut renching bass in small venues round Exeter (and a couple other lucky Devon spots!), it's time to step up to a bigger venue to accomodate the crowds...
Friday 20th March. The Deep End @ The Lemon Grove
HATCHA (Kiss Fm) & CRAZY D (FWD>>)
Legendary forefather of the dubstep scene, Hatcha was the fist dj to play Skream & Benga's dubplates. He mixed the first Dubstep Allstars CD and volume 4 alongside Youngsta and gave the world's first ever dubstep night, FWD» it's mic man 'Crazy D' with whom he has a show on KISS FM 100'. With over 15 years of DJ'ing experience & exclusive beats under his belt, Hatcha is a force to be reckoned with. His productions vary from half-step monsters, to swingy 2 step numbers, to 4X4 bangers, and he's collaborated on tracks with Benga (check out '10 Tons Heavy'), Benny Ill ('Highland Spring') & Kromestar (look for the 'Heavyweight' & 'Brothers Grim' E.P.s)
CASPA (Dub Police)
This man's been responsible for the groundbreaking dubstep label, 'Dub Police', putting out countless club bangers himself (Cockney Violin, Who R Ya?, Acton Dread, Cockney Flute and countless more..!), and signing the prodigal 'Rusko' and 'Unitz' (as seen at our 2nd bday bash). He's also behind the smash hit 'Where's My Money?' remix on D Style recordings, 'Floor Dem' & 'My Pet Monster' on Shy Fx's Digital Soundboy imprint, The Terminator, Well Ard & Big Headed Slags on Sub Soldiers & the anthemic 'Rubber Chicken' on Tempa.
ROSSI B & LUCA (1Xtra)
Previously the top boys behind the A.R.M.Y label, responsible for the epic 'Music Money' riddim with Gully gang, and the 'Ghost Town' remix, Rossi nows runs the Heavy Artillery label (look out for the Legacy E.P. feat. the tracks 'Optimus prime' & 'Pull up'). These boys have been big in the game since way back when, and their dj skills show it! Their first release, 'Skunk/Strider' was one of 2003’s biggest vinyl sellers, and led them to win the Best Newcomer DJ at the 2003 Sidewinder awards. Their show on pirate station, Rinse FM received massive acclaim, and they've since gone on to do shows on Radio 1Xtra.
