Cleaning Dubs

does anyone know, maybe from the cutting engineers themselves, the best way to clean both acetate and vinyl dubs?
got a couple with a bit of dust on, and I dont want to degrade!

i think n-type uses soapy water to clean his dubs. that or cleaning fluid i would have thought would do the job. the comment about having some dust on them made me crack up, every record gets dust on it man. But i must say i'm a bit of a fanny when it comes to dust on my vinyl. i hate puttin a clean plate on the deck first time 100% fresh and clean only to take it off and have some dust on it. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

me and my room of records realise all records get dust on them.. its a bit different with lower output records which you desperately dont want to damage in the slightest though coz they cost you 35 quid a pop!

ionised water on the acetates, def not anything stronger or lighter fluid! Any normal record cleaner fluid should be ok on the PVC ones.

3m microfiber towels and water. I havent taken a chemical to my records or dubs in like 6 years. Saves me $ and time, as you can do this on the fly at any show...

What u wanna do is,
slap em in the sink with a bit of fairy liquid,get a bit of wire wool and scrub them.
u can use sandpaper as well.once youve done this wipe a layer of metholated spirit over them.
I find this method is by far the best.
theyll sound grand.
