Drum and Bass Forum?

I was wondering as dubstep is related to drum & bass that maybe a section could be added on the forum.
I am currently working on some D&B and quite enjoying it.
Everyone on here is sound and maybe someone is similar minded. It would definatly bring alot of people to the forum.
Wanted or unwanted is a different question altogether.

EZ Soldiers.

UNCE TSS
UNCE-TSS
UNCE-UNCE TSS
UNCE-TSS

That's a 'no'.

Unless I'll get a promise that most of the dnb discussed will definitely _not_ be of that nature. If it is, then by God, I swear you'll see goatse, tubgirl and 2girls1cup in every goddamn thread. =|

ò_Ó I've got my eyes on you.

Alright alright, the entire reason I suggested it was because of the sound people on this board, not to bring failures with nothing but those links bookmarked. Which is why I also stated that whether or not it was a good idea.
Clearly you think not ...

Which is fine.

This is a forum, opinions and ideas and sharing them are the entire reason they exist.
However, I know dubstep is both relaxing and invigorating, it has a more mature, or intulectual crowd, which is exactly why I asked this question in here, in the first place. Yet there might be a good opinion, or view, on this particular music, in here.
People discussing its production, creativity and difference, ways to improve and so on.
Some really talented people in here release to the forum, and have great feedback.
I thought that we could use the same basics in a D&B section.

Understandably, there is a mixed crowd with D&B, which is why it may work in here, if theres any idiots im sure they'll get filtered out.

Not everyone listening to drum and bass, wears a red nose.

i highly suggest for your 170bpm needs....
http://www.subvertcentral.com/forum/portal.php

personally,i don't think it makes much sense for dubstepforum to have a dnb subforum, when there's about 6-15 sites out there that have covered every single inch of that sound, ad nauseum, and have spent years and years doing it as well.

funky, other music and the hip hop subforums are sort of closer to the 140 dubstep sound and the fundamentals of what mutated into dubstep and are already mutating out of dubstep into other things. i'm not saying that drum and bass wasn't influential, but i think if you asked 75% of the big producers in this sound at the moment, they'd tell you that they were influenced more by the 1993-1998 jungle sound than the 1998-2009 drum and bass sound. what drum and bass is today isn't even close to being the groundbreaking sound it was in the past. its formulaic, and if you've been around this forum long enough, i think you'll find that this place has always tried to stay far away from encouraging or highlighting formulas.

...I was fucking around. I like drum n bass. Just not the formulaic excuse of drum n bass that I am surrounded by these days (even if there is still good stuff around). You know.. UNCE TSS, UNCE-TSS *high pass filter* *distorted bass line* *lame saw wave melody* I don't really care if there's a drum n bass sub forum or not. If people want it, so be it, if people don't, meh. I'm not here to spoil the fun for others. I personally do not see the point, but if other people do, who am I to say no? It doesn't affect me either way.

Try the Dubstep section of the forum, someone mentioned 'halfstep drum & bass' in a thread there the other day. Pretty accurate description.

Speaking of halfstep...

...what is it?

There seems to be very little information on the internet about it. What I've gleaned from various resources is that it's "uptempo dubstep", somehow/somewhat similar to DnB.

Is there anything else to it?

In fact, this question is what prompted me to register just now. :/

Thank you!

Other way around, I'd say downtempo DnB rather than uptempo dubstep.

That's a GREAT example.

halfstep dubstep 140 bpm : s&d "candyfloss loefah remix"

the snares fall at half the time they normally would.
