Yo Ben
I enjoyed it last night too - good set from Youngsta, especially like you say in the second half, very focused, flowing stuff. Big up Skream too!!
Skepta was good, not too sure about the rest of them (I think a lot of slew dem were down) but its a matter of taste.
Went soon after bossman came on as I was knackered.

wicked last night, best time ever for me. I've only been four or five times, not living in london for most of the year, but last night was easily the best vibe so far.
The MCs weren't great ("yeah yeah, whatever mate, I don't care who you're slewing this week"), but through a few years of going to jungle nights, I'm pretty good at tuning them out and focusing on the music, which was unbelievable. Youngsta on a rampage

this is not a post about forward. but mc's:
jungle mc's back in the day had less to say and respected the dj more. listen to any moose/hyper d/five0 etc tape from 94/95/96 and you will know what i mean.
when they wanted to turn up the heat and spit i.e. skibba/hyper/shabba - they could do so well.
but grime mc's have just taken it too far! who cares if you've got beef (thats all you've got lol) i wish they'd add some quality control and let the music talk a bit more...
i suppose you could turn the argument and go well grime mc's chat more coz they are better than the jungle one's...
oh i dunno. lol.

sooo manyyy randoms!! I was fucking shocked man, there was a QUEUE when i came in at 11:30, what the FURK
but yeah, that's all good, made for a great vibe. Glad Bossman turned up instead of Geeneus, even though I was really looking forward to seein G. Bossman played the set of the year I swear - such long mixes, both tracks with all levels up, just super super dense. Fucking stupid remixes of tunes like Young Dot - Bonanza as well.
Can someone help me with a tune ID
Bossman played a big big raver that remixed that cheesy dance tune that goes "sometimes i feel like putting my hands up in the air / i can count on you" etc, and then it drops into some brutal instrumental. Sounds a bit like Wizzbit's Nicole's Groove 2005, actually.
Anyone?

yes yes!
Top atmos in the place, true FWd vibes....i hadn't been in a few months, and it was a refreshing reminder of good vibes...lotsa cool people just lovin the music...what its all about really eh!
Skream - sick - nuff new riddims...'0800 dub' soundin HUGE....all the Skreamizm Vol1 riddims dropped off TP - soundin large obviously...some CRAZy new cdr action too - too many riddims....all with that unique Skream atmos...BIG!
Youngsta - double SICK - basically Loefah, Skream & D1 repped beatwise, but who can complain when that means you get 'candyfloss rmx', 'ruff beats', 'system', AND a load of new D1 and Skream stuff! super-tight mixing as per usual, and he even tried to pull off a double dub mix of 'i' rmx! he didn't think it worked but me and my crew thought it was wicked! fully just bringin up the second copy for one of the notes of the b-line! stoopid!
Bossman MERKED it! that Candi Staton sampling tune was by Davinche btw, as was much of Bossie's set, he is closely linked with Essentials (that Bossie is part of). The new Young Dot stuff was COMPLETELY bonkers too, really ravey vibe throughout the whole set, with really awkward rhythms that sound more like an old AFX rmx than 'garage'....totally the vibe i'm into...
you should check all the Davinche u can get hold of, he is on some next level s**t - any of the Dirt Canvas EPs are a good place to start...
Crazy hosted in fine style as usual, spottin the old faces in the crowd and shoutin out to us 'stamina gang' as usual! Skepta never really took off on the mic, tho Kronik had big bars.....
shame Essentials didn't properly go for it for Bossie's set too, coz together they are a force to be reckoned with...Remerdee & K Dot are two of my fave MCs...and its NOT all just 'shanks & weed' talk, but frankly, i wouldn't care if it was! That kinda stuff worked for Snoop & Dre, and i don't hear people moanin about lack of lyrical content in that!
seriously, TOP NIGHT......a timely reminder of just how CRISP the Plastic Poeple soundsystem is too.....dutty...

yes Blim right on every count mate.
Except i'm quite glad Rem and NE left Bossman to it - they even said "strictly hosting, let our boy do his ting" and fair enough i thought he deserved it. Spot on about the new young dot stuff. Stupid spastic riddims. THAT KIDS NEEDS TO RELEASE MORE RECORDS!!
So do you know what that Davinche tune with the sample is? That's the true Nicole's Groove right there, makes that tune sound straight flat. Davinche is movin on to incredible new territory man

what the fuck! Just listening to iTunes and the track I wanted IDed came on. Duh! How did I not recognise it? It is in indeed Davinche - track called Sometimes. Its just that on CD it sounds ok but on that PA man, in that mix it was about 400 times more devastating once it drops.
