AT THIS NEXT EVENT WE ARE PROUD TO WELCOME THE PIONEER OF JUNGLE-INFUSED DUBSTEP - CLUEKID AND HEAD HONCHO OF ESSENCE OF DUB RECORDINGS - EMTEK, SO EXPECT PLENTY OF FRESH, UNRELEASED MATERIAL FROM BOTH.

THIS MONTH WE'RE SWITCHIN THINGS UP IN ROOM 2 WITH A HOT SELECTION OF LOCAL TALENT PROVIDING THE BEST IN REGGAE, ELECTRO HOUSE, HIP HOP N FUNK.

Based in London. Cluekid, originally from Norwood upon Hill UK, has a vast musical background, initially based around a lot of old rock music, his father was a guitarist and Cluekid also played the drums, building the foundation for his musical future. Around the age of 16 Cluekid got into grime, leaning more towards the bassline beats, around the same time he linked with Cotti who was doing grime as well, Cotti then put Cluekid in his crew 4n4mat, where they started doing sets on pirate radio shows. This also helped Cluekid to start producing beats. Later on after meeting up with Chef and loefah he started to create dubstep having released on ‘-30 recordings’ and ‘Disfigured Dubz’ and with his new label ‘Bullfrog beats’ things don’t look to be slowing down. Cluekid’s mixing is also as big as his ambitions, with shows all over Europe and headlining tours as far away as Australia, dubz cut and huge bass lines makes his live shows un miss able.

DJ Em-Tek from Leyton east London started out playing on decks at the early age of 15. His 1st booking shortly after joining new pirate station Origin 95.2fm was for Innovation @ Stratford Rex. 3 months later in March 2001 he performed on Dillinja & Lemon d's legendary Valve Sound System. Following this Em-Tek has displayed his skills at a whole host of legendary drum n bass and dubstep events both in the uk and overseas including Innovation In The Sun and Renegade Hardware. March 2003 saw DJ Flight on Radio 1xtra present Dj Em-Tek's mix as the breakthru dj talent of that time. Em-Tek joined Kool FM during 2005 and has since held down a regular show on 'Liquid Mondays'. 2006 saw the birth of http://www.essenceofdub.com where Em-Tek takes care of his dubstep agency and is due to start 2 record labels souldeepbluesrecordings & essenceofdubrecordings. Essence of dub was the first London dnb event to have promoted dubstep as an alternative sound for the 2nd room. After this successful night Essence of dub has hosted rooms for many nights including Valve Sound System, Breakin Science and Bassbin Records aswell as touring across Europe and up and down the UK.
