Hello,

just wondering if the dubstep clan follows any particular fashion.
You know, with some people, you can identify what music their into by the clothes they wear.

Also, as with most scenes, there is a kind of clan identity.
An identity that individuals can absorb and be part of.

Coming from a fairly obscure sheltered and conservative little island in between France and England, I feel a bit out of touch with regards to fashion.

Personally, I am not that much into fashion, as I never have enough money to spend on expensive clothes. If I get any money, I usually spend it on my 5 year old niece or my music projects.

Anyway,
just wondered.

theres like the steriotypical dubstepper (brightly coloured hoodies) but dubstep doesn't really have a fashion

Actually, that's one of the things I like about the dubstep scene...At least here.

The dubstep crew is composed of people from all the different scenes and there is absolutely no "fashion". People I meet at dubstep event are often wearing urban clothing, but there is a bunch of hippies, hipsters, classy people, people wearing grungy clothes, punk things, and whatever they like. Dubstep attracts a diversified crowd, and that's amazing.

I don't wish to ever see a dubstep "fashion". The only requirement should be the bassface ^^.

when i put out the first dubstepxclusive and DubKraft wear loads of peeps were very annoyed about the concept of dubstep clothing, seems times changed, i'm glad

Definitely, and i think that's down to this genre having influences from almost every other genre out there, so it really is that diverse for there to be something for everyone.

Totally. I like dubstep because it can be heavily influenced by both reggae and DnB, break and garage, industrial and minimal, ethno and ambient...(the list goes on). That's what makes it impossible for me to grow tired of this style of music.

And I like the scene because people are friendly, they are there for the music, are open-minded and come from many different places. It's not everywhere that you'll see a hippy, a goth, and a hip-hop enthousiast headbanging to the same beat. I've seen it.

...I think that a couple of years ago..fashion sold everything and everyone out..everyone just started wearing everything...

All statements on what you might relate too disappeared..

I remember when you could go into regular record store and pick up a random album based on the cover art, and 8 times out of 10 you would have something fairly close to your taste..

Don't try that now..
