I know a free and good one with some excellent piano sounds. Cant remember the plugin name now but I'll let you know soon

Pianoteq sounds beautiful. Very expressive and realistic from the audio demos I've heard.

Super Quartet is decent and does pretty good pianos and a few fairly cheap sounding plucked strings. The pianos are nice, though.
Maybe pricey though... I'm not sure it's that much better than you could find for free...?

So... E-MU Proteus VX, its free now (since 2008), comes with over 1000 presets. Check the "Klassical" preset, really like this piano. Not sure this is you are looking for.

not free but, a sampler and piano samples is better than a free vst piano.

4front is okay for being free
just needs some chorus and delay and reverb maybe
Nexus has alot of piano sounds i like, especially in the House expansion.
and i think its called Korg M1 or something like that, that alot of happy hardcore producers use for their piano

Yeah, the kork M1 is a hardware workstation with good pianos. Also in the korg legacy digital collection (phatt!)
