Just listened to Kromestar's 'Ghost Town' and noticed he's used the 'Sleng Teng' riddim. I'm suprised there hasnt been more classic dancehall or dub riddims being rinsed out on the dubstep scene. Noticably absent are Satta and Stalag... I might put money where my mouth is and start creating some,.. keep the old thread going

Anybody notice any others ?

I can remember more of a dancehall influence in turn of the century garage, orignal 12" version of Buck and Bury for instance.

Wait around a few years though, some peeps only discovered dub a few weeks ago

Think it's because the ease of making your own beats is more important to dubstep

playground riddim is absolute fyah!

Shonky is right; Dubstep is more geared toward the creation of NEW Riddems. Dancehall (as you know) is largely founded on referencing past and classic RIDDIMS, though Dubstep does follow a simillar path insofar as it is built on recycling and mutating classic SOUNDS.
